This is a Spindle Display Stanchion! It holds supported or russian style spindles for storage, display, AND allows you the option of easily winding off your yarn, without the usual shoebox, or other complicated home made system to hold your spindles in place while trying to wind off, or ply your yarn. I welcome questions in this area, as well as any other associated question on my other products.

This listing is for (1) one Spindle Stanchion, and does NOT include any spindles. It is the stanchion (stand) only! ...Any photos showing spindles, are to demonstrate how your stanchion might look, when displaying your fine collection of beautiful hand made Sistermaide supported spindles. The photos, are representative of the actual stanchion you will receive, however keep in mind that all wood has it's unique personality, and no two will be identical, in most anyway, since you will choose how many spindles you want to store, and these are individually handmade for you, as your order states.

My unique spindle stanchion, is designed to hold Sistermaide spindles, that are 9 1/2" to 12" long. (Though it is possible that other brands might fit also, but I hold no guarantee of them fitting, or that I would even know if they would, as I don't have enough time to concern myself with what other spindle makers are doing...I can barely keep up with orders. ;) ) )

As with most of my items, no two are identical, since I hand make each one myself, under my own strict general guidelines. I add only a thin film of wax on the otherwise plain wood, (unless you ask for a color embellishment,) for this warm loving luster.
